About this Taming A Tiger theatre programme
An original Victorian theatre programme for Taming A Tiger at the Theatre Royal, Haymarket. The cast included Arthur Cecil, Mabel Grattan, Stewart Dawson, Marion Terry, Kate Grattan and Mrs Canninge. Short comedies like this were a staple of Victorian evenings at the Haymarket, often played alongside a main piece, and here the bill features members of one of the most famous theatrical families of the age. A scarce survivor from one of London’s most historic playhouses, and a fine example of old theatre programmes.
