L S Lowry drawings and pencil sketches for sale. Laurence Stephen Lowry (1887–1976) lived and worked around Salford and Pendlebury and is famous for his industrial townscapes crowded with “matchstick” figures. Remarkably, he kept his full-time job as a rent collector until he retired in 1952.
