An Edwardian theatre programme for The Cabinet Minister, staged by the Ilford Social Club at the Town Hall on 21 October 1905. The cast included Alfred Smithers, Harold Barlow, Lilly Griffiths and Grace Malenoir.
The Cabinet Minister is a farce by Sir Arthur Wing Pinero, one of the most popular dramatists of late Victorian London.
Programmes from local social clubs and amateur societies rarely survived, which makes early examples like this a lovely find for anyone collecting old theatre programmes or the social history of Ilford.
