London Royal Court Theatre – Cabinet Minister – 1890
An original theatre programme for The Cabinet Minister at the Royal Court Theatre, London, dated 30 October 1890. The cast includes Richard Saunders, John Wood, Florence Tanner and Rosina Filippi.
Arthur Wing Pinero’s farce pokes fun at a politician whose extravagant wife has run up crippling debts, and it was one of the series of Pinero farces that made the Court Theatre famous in the 1880s and 1890s.
A rare Victorian theatre programme and a fine piece of old theatre programmes history.
