A genuine antique theatre programme for Jane Shore at the Princess Theatre, London, dated 16 March 1878, with Miss Alcroft, Kate Barry, Alfred Mellon and Helen Redcliffe.
The drama tells the tragic story of Jane Shore, the celebrated mistress of King Edward IV, who was disgraced and made to do public penance after his death.
Surviving Victorian bills like this are scarce, and this is a fine example of genuinely old theatre programmes from the 1870s.
