London Vanbrugh Theatre – The Memorandum – 1970 – Lindsay
A programme from the Vanbrugh Theatre, London, dated 5 February 1970, for Václav Havel’s satire The Memorandum, with Brendan Price, Stephen Bill, Robert Lindsay and Peter Da Salis.
Havel’s absurdist comedy shows an office thrown into chaos by Ptydepe, an artificial language introduced to make bureaucratic communication more precise, which nobody can actually understand.
A glimpse of a future star at the very start of his career, this is an intriguing theatre programme for collectors.
