London Theatre Royal – Hadrian V11 – 1969
A theatre programme for Hadrian VII at the Theatre Royal, London, dated 18 March 1969, with Douglas Rain, Jessica Dunning, Peggy Aitchison and Donald Eccles.
Peter Luke’s play tells of an impoverished, embittered English writer who fantasises that he is unexpectedly elected Pope. A programme from a celebrated 1960s West End success, this is a fine example of old theatre programmes.
