London Queens Theatre – Present Laughter – 1965 – Briers
An original programme from the Queens Theatre, London, dated 21 April 1965, for Noel Coward’s comedy Present Laughter. The cast includes Nigel Patrick, Richard Briers, Maxine Audley and John Lee.
The play follows the vain matinee idol Garry Essendine as his chaotic household and admirers close in before a theatre tour abroad.
With a young Richard Briers in the cast a decade before television fame, this is an excellent 1960s theatre programme for Coward collectors.
