London Duke Of York Theatre – Poor Bitos – 1964 – Pleasence
An original theatre programme for Poor Bitos at the Duke Of York Theatre, London, in 1964. The cast includes Charles Gray, Donald Pleasence, Ronald Lewis, Douglas Cann, Narissa Knights, Susan Clark and Michael Golden.
Jean Anouilh’s savage satire is set at a dinner party where guests dress as figures of the French Revolution to humiliate a priggish, self-made public prosecutor.
Donald Pleasence in one of his finest stage roles makes this a desirable item among old theatre programmes.
