RMS Samaria Orchestral Programme 1952
Two original orchestral programmes from the RMS Samaria, dated 6 and 7 July 1952.
Ocean liners of the period entertained their passengers with daily music from the ship’s orchestra, and programmes like these were printed on board listing the pieces to be played.
Shipboard ephemera such as this is popular with collectors of ocean liner history and concert memorabilia, offering a glimpse of transatlantic travel in the early 1950s.
