Reading Pendragon Theatre – The Wind And The Rain – 1951
An original theatre programme for The Wind And The Rain at the Pendragon Theatre, Reading, from 1951. The cast includes Angela Wheatland, Robert Patrick, Derek Valentine, Kevin Barry, Derek Smee and Tony Edwards.
Merton Hodge’s affectionate play follows a group of medical students sharing lodgings in Edinburgh, and it became a firm favourite with repertory companies.
A good example of the plays that kept post-war rep theatres busy, this is a pleasing addition to any collection of theatre programmes.
