An original theatre programme for Shakespeare’s Taming Of The Shrew at Regents Park Open Air Theatre, London, from 1958. The cast includes Robert Atkins, Gordon Honey, Leslie French and John Levitt.
Shakespeare’s comedy of the battle of wits between Petruchio and Katherina has long been a summer favourite under the trees of Regent’s Park.
Programmes from the Open Air Theatre under Robert Atkins are a charming record of London summer theatre and a great example of old theatre programmes.
