Blackpool Opera House – The Show Of Shows – 1953 – Harry Secombe
An original programme for the 1953 Blackpool summer spectacular The Show Of Shows at the Opera House, Blackpool, presented by George & Alfred Black.
The bill includes Harry Secombe, Kathryn Moore, the John Tiller Girls, Harry Bailey, Peter Gilmore and Norman McGlen. By 1953 Secombe was already a radio star thanks to The Goon Show.
The Black brothers’ lavish summer shows were the height of seaside glamour, and this is a fine theatre programme for collectors of Blackpool and variety history.
