London Savoy Theatre – Young Wives Tale – 1949 – William Fox
An original theatre programme for Young Wives Tale at the Savoy Theatre, London, dated 7 July 1949. It comes with the theatre ticket and a cutting.
The cast includes Joan Greenwood, Naunton Wayne, Florence Churchill, Brenda Hogan, William Fox and Sydney King.
Ronald Jeans’s comedy is about two young couples sharing a house in the post-war housing shortage, which would have been all too familiar to 1949 audiences.
With its ticket and cutting, this is a nice set of old theatre programmes ephemera from the late 1940s West End.
