London New Theatre – Mr Wu – 1940s
An original theatre programme for Mr Wu at the New Theatre, London, believed to date from the 1940s. The cast is led by Matheson Lang, with Nona Wynee, Stella Hancock and Walter Plinge.
The melodrama by Harold Owen and Harry M. Vernon became Lang’s signature vehicle, his role as the mandarin Wu Li Chang one he returned to again and again.
