London New Theatre – Ever Since Paradise – 1947 – Ursula Jeans
An original theatre programme for Ever Since Paradise at the New Theatre, London, in 1947. The cast includes Dennis Arundell, Roger Livesey, Jane Carr, Ursula Jeans and Joy Sheldon.
J. B. Priestley’s playful ‘discursive entertainment’ explores love and marriage, with two narrators commenting on a couple’s romance accompanied by music on two pianos.
An unusual Priestley comedy and an attractive example of 1940s old theatre programmes.
