London Apollo Theatre – Off The Record – 1947
An original theatre programme for the naval comedy Off The Record at the Apollo Theatre, London, from 1947. Written by Protected_User_3443688a Hay and Stephen King-Hall, the play pokes fun at life aboard a Royal Navy destroyer.
The cast includes Hubert Gregg, Louise Gainsborough, Bill Gates, Anthony Holmes, Pamela Matthews and Eve Ashley.
Post-war service comedies were hugely popular with audiences, and this programme is an enjoyable piece of theatre memorabilia and a good example of old theatre programmes.
