Great Yarmouth Wellington Pier – Showtime – 1948

A theatre programme for Showtime, a Catlin’s production at the Wellington Pier, Great Yarmouth, in 1948.

The Catlin name was synonymous with seaside entertainment, presenting summer shows of comedy, song and dance at resorts around the coast. In the years after the war, Great Yarmouth’s piers drew huge holiday crowds.

Seaside summer show programmes are a cheerful record of British holidays and a great addition to any collection of theatre memorabilia.
