Dublin Gate Theatre – The Cherry Orchard 1943 – Irealnd
An original theatre programme for Chekhov’s The Cherry Orchard at the Dublin Gate Theatre, Ireland, from April 1943.
The cast includes Nora O’Mahony, Bonnie Fagan, Cahleen Delany, Maurice O’Brien, Dermot Walsh and Michael Ripper, in Chekhov’s bittersweet portrait of an aristocratic family about to lose its beloved estate.
Wartime programmes from neutral Ireland are scarce, and this is a lovely piece of Irish theatre memorabilia among old theatre programmes.
