Sheffield Victoria Hall – Happy New Year – 1939
A theatre programme for Happy New Year at the Victoria Hall, Sheffield, dated 5 January 1939.
The cast included Michael Driver, Horace Clarke, Raymond Baker, Margaret Watson, Jimmy Williams and Christine Cooper, with cast changes noted in pen, a nice touch showing it was used on the night.
Programmes from the final months before the Second World War are a poignant record of everyday entertainment, and this Sheffield example is a worthy addition to any collection of old theatre programmes.
