London Sadler's Wells Theatre – Faust – 1938

An original programme from Sadler’s Wells Theatre, London, dated 30 November 1938, for Wagner’s Tannhäuser, with principal cast including Arthur Carron and Molly De Gunst.

The Sadler’s Wells company was then bringing grand opera, sung in English, to a wide London audience at modest prices.

A fine pre-war record of the company that later became English National Opera, and a great addition to any collection of old theatre programmes or opera ephemera.
