About this Lilac Time theatre programme
An original theatre programme for Lilac Time at the Lyric Theatre, London, dated 17 August 1923, with Lena Maitland and Michael Cole. The operetta tells a romanticised story of the composer Franz Schubert, using his own melodies arranged by G. H. Clutsam. A lovely programme from a hugely popular 1920s production, and a fine example of old theatre programmes from the Shaftesbury Avenue stage.
