About this Finsbury Park Empire theatre programme
An original theatre programme for a musical variety show at the Finsbury Park Empire Theatre, London, dated 24 January 1921. The bill features Jack Buchanan, George Morton and others. The Finsbury Park Empire was one of north London’s great variety theatres, part of Moss Empires, and Buchanan was on the way to becoming the epitome of the debonair song-and-dance man. A lovely piece of music hall history and an appealing example of old theatre programmes from the 1920s.
