An original German theatre programme from Berlin for Hanneles Himmelfahrt, dated 12 June 1927. The cast includes Marguerite Perras, Karl Ostvig and Ruth Berglund. The work is based on Gerhart Hauptmann’s dream play about a dying girl’s visions of heaven, and the singers named suggest an operatic staging. Weimar-era Berlin programmes are scarce today, making this a fine piece of European theatre memorabilia.
