An original Liverpool Repertory Theatre programme for Katawampus, undated but from 1912, a year that appears in one of the adverts.
The cast included Marie Florence, Charles Mills, Esme Percy, Franklin Miles, Jessica Black and Olivia Novina, with Basil Dean named as controller of the theatre.
The play was based on Katawampus, a children’s book about naughty children by Edward Abbott Parry. From the company’s earliest seasons, this is a significant piece of old theatre programmes history for Liverpool.

Basil Dean, better known for his work in films, ran the theatre for two years between 1911 and 1913.
