Ilford Town Hall – Social Club – Sweet Lavender – 1903 – PLUS

An Edwardian theatre programme for Sweet Lavender, performed by the Ilford Social Club at the Town Hall on 14 April 1903, with Fred Rayment, Kirk Currie, Sydney Caution and Dorothy Varick.

It comes with a little 2″ x 2″ bag of sweet lavender, plus a personalised compliments card for Lillian Stokes. The play is Arthur Wing Pinero’s sentimental comedy, one of the biggest hits of the late Victorian stage.

With its keepsakes this is a wonderfully personal survivor for collectors of old theatre programmes and Edwardian amateur theatre.
