Hull St Mary's Dramatic Society – The Green Bushes – 1904
An original programme for The Green Bushes staged by St Mary’s Dramatic Society, Beverley, Hull, on 7 April 1904. The cast includes G Hirst, W Cunningham, G Wright and A Reame.
The play is J.B. Buckstone’s celebrated Victorian melodrama, set partly in Ireland and partly on the American frontier.
Edwardian amateur programmes rarely survive, making this a lovely example of old theatre programmes and of local Yorkshire theatre history.
