London Vaudeville Theatre – On & Off – 1898
An original Victorian theatre programme for On & Off, with the curtain-raiser Bad Penny, at the Vaudeville Theatre, London, dated 1 December 1898. The cast includes George Giddens, Paul Arthur, Harry Cane and Elsie Chester.
Double bills like this, pairing a short one-act piece with the main comedy, were standard in the late Victorian West End. A charming survivor among old theatre programmes.
