London Terrys Theatre – High Life Below Stairs – 1895
An original theatre programme for High Life Below Stairs at Terry’s Theatre, London, dated 13 February 1895. The cast includes Edward Terry, Madge Ray, Robert Soutar and Sidney Brough.
James Townley’s Georgian farce, in which servants ape the airs and graces of their masters, was still a popular favourite more than a century after it was written.
A scarce Victorian bill from a long-vanished playhouse and a fine example of old theatre programmes.
