London Shaftesbury Theatre – Lady Of Lyons – 1888

An original theatre programme for The Lady Of Lyons at the Shaftesbury Theatre, London, dated 17 November 1888.

Edward Bulwer-Lytton’s romantic drama starred Forbes Robertson and Miss Wallis, with Miss Lamballe, Mr Mackintosh, Charles Arnold and George Seldon.

This programme dates from the very first weeks of the original Shaftesbury Theatre, a building later lost in the Blitz, making it a notable piece of theatre memorabilia and a fine example of old theatre programmes.
