London Globe Theatre – The Gay Lord Quex – 1899

A Victorian theatre programme for The Gay Lord Quex at the Globe Theatre, London, dated 8 April 1899.

Arthur Wing Pinero’s comedy of a reformed rake and the scheming manicurist determined to expose him features John Hare, Gilbert Hare, Fanny Coleman, Marion Dolby, Doris Templeton and Miss Fortescue.

Programmes from the 1890s are increasingly scarce, and this example from a lost London theatre is a real prize among old theatre programmes.
