An original Victorian theatre programme for the comedy Betsy at the Criterion Theatre, London, in 1888. The cast includes Lytton Sothern, Alfred Maltby, Kate Roke, Nellie Bromley, Eleanor Bufton and Miss B Barrington.
The Criterion was a fashionable home for light comedy in the late Victorian West End. Programmes from the 1880s West End are scarce survivors and highly prized among old theatre programmes.
