Entitled The Boston Player. 4 page 10 ¼ ins x 7ins Many varied adverts .The Star of the play The Shadow of a Crime was Miss Kate Reignolds(1836-1911) originally born in England but made her name in America and then later returned to England in 1869 and then returned back to America where she was much admired..This performance was for her benefit and may have been as she was leaving for London.
The Elise Holt company played Lucretia Borgia M.D. by Henry J. Byron, for Reignolds during this performance and this was Elise Holt’s American debut. She too was English born (1847-73) and she contracted typhoid in Pittsburgh in 1873 and died very suddenly.
So this is rather a special item marking not only Kate Reignolds like farewell appearance but the eventual tragic arrival of Elise Holt on her American debut! Small split along a fold and edges a little curled in places and a small watermark top spine corner else Good.

V Good,cfld,lcr,a 2″ split on right fold,a few tiny edge ni’s,has a stain mark throughout at the top,
