London Royal Princess Theatre – Griselda – 1874
An original Victorian theatre programme from the Royal Princess Theatre, London, in 1874, listed as Griselda with the production shown as Little Puss In Boots.
The cast included Miss Everard, Miss Lewis, Mr Egan, Mr Bruton, Miss Grace and Miss Lynd. Victorian bills commonly combined a drama with a lighter piece, and the Puss in Boots story was a favourite for pantomime and burlesque.
Programmes from the early 1870s are rare survivors, making this a desirable piece of old theatre programmes history.
