South Africa – Theatre Royal – Our Boys – 1880
An original theatre programme for Our Boys at the Theatre Royal in South Africa, dated 1880. The cast includes Wilfred Bailey, Julia Sydney, S Beltram, Rosa Towers, Frank Towers and Belia Murdoch.
Our Boys was H. J. Byron’s comedy about two fathers and their very different sons, and it was the biggest hit of its day. A scarce colonial programme and an appealing piece of old theatre programmes history.
