Scarborough – Futurist Theatre – Black & White Minstrel Show 1972
A theatre programme for The Black and White Minstrel Show at the Futurist Theatre, Scarborough, in 1972.
The show was one of the biggest stage and television draws of its time, though its blackface make up is now rightly regarded as offensive, and the programme is offered purely as a historical record of popular entertainment.
As a document of British seaside summer seasons and of the Futurist Theatre itself, it is a notable piece of theatre memorabilia.
