Did you know?
- Joseph began life in 1968 as a 15-minute ‘pop cantata’ written for the pupils of Colet Court school in London.
- It was the first Rice and Lloyd Webber collaboration to be publicly performed, before Jesus Christ Superstar and Evita.
- The score parodies many styles, from country and western to calypso and a famous Elvis-style Pharaoh.
