London Aldwych Theatre – RSC – The Balcony – 1971 Helen Mirren

About this The Balcony theatre programme

An original 1971 theatre programme from the RSC at the Aldwych Theatre, London, for Jean Genet’s The Balcony. The remarkable cast includes Helen Mirren, Brenda Bruce, Frances De La Tour, Reg Lye, Patrick Stewart and Mary Rutherford. Genet’s provocative play is set in a brothel of illusions while revolution rages in the streets outside. With two future stars of stage and screen in the cast, this is a terrific piece of RSC theatre memorabilia.
