Eastbourne Royal Hippodrome – Golden Jubilee Music Hall – 1990s
An original programme for the Golden Jubilee Music Hall at the Royal Hippodrome in Eastbourne, believed to date from the 1990s.
The company featured Paul Eastwood, Simon Leigh, Yvonne Lloyd and Brian Eames, keeping alive the songs, comedy and chairman-led fun of traditional Victorian and Edwardian music hall for seaside audiences.
Seaside variety and music hall programmes are a nostalgic strand of theatre memorabilia, recording a style of entertainment that has almost vanished.
