Leeds Grand Theatre – Mr & Mrs Kendal – 1895 – 1800s
An original Victorian theatre programme for a visit by Mr & Mrs Kendal to the Grand Theatre, Leeds, dated 18 November 1895.
The company included Mr Kendal, Rodney Edgcumbe, Kathleen Dene, Inez Bensusan, Charles Sennett and Nellie Campbell.
W. H. Kendal and his wife Madge Kendal were among the most respected actor-managers of the late Victorian stage, touring their own company around Britain and America.
Programmes from the 1890s are scarce survivors, making this a fine example of old theatre programmes from Yorkshire.
