London Theatre Royal – The Beaux Stratagem – 1970s ?
An original four-page programme for George Farquhar’s The Beaux Stratagem, believed to date from the 1970s and from a Theatre Royal (possibly London; the venue is not named).
The cast includes Paul Privett, Bob Plimmer, Sybil Baddeley, Rosemary Oliver, Sue Carter and John Gunnell. Farquhar’s sparkling Restoration comedy follows two penniless gentlemen hunting for rich wives in Lichfield.
If you can help identify the venue, we would love to hear from you. A neat example of theatre programmes for lovers of classic comedy.
