London Saville Theatre – Lord Chamberlain Regrets 1961 Joan Sims
An original programme for the revue The Lord Chamberlain Regrets at the Saville Theatre, London, from 1961.
The cast includes Joan Sims, Millicent Martin, Gordon Clyde, Ronnis Stevens, Aubrey Woods, David Morton, Barbara Robinson and Josephine Gordon.
The title cheekily referred to the Lord Chamberlain, who at that time had the power to censor every play staged in Britain. A witty early-1960s revue and a fine example of old theatre programmes from the satire boom era.
