Surrey – Chessington Zoo Circus 1954
An original programme for the Chessington Circus at Chessington Zoo, Surrey, from 1954. It also includes a card insert for Walter’s comedy dogs and monkeys, a classic animal act of the era.
The circus was one of the big attractions for families visiting the zoo in the post-war years. A nostalgic piece of 1950s family entertainment, well suited to collections of circus ephemera and wider theatre memorabilia.
