London Criterion Theatre – The Bad Samaritan – 1953
An original programme from the Criterion Theatre, London, 1953, for William Douglas Home’s The Bad Samaritan, with Michael Denison, Jessie Winter, Yvonne Heather Stannard, George Relph, Ronald Lewis and Virginia McKenna.
Douglas Home’s drama follows the family of an Anglican clergyman, whose son’s crisis of faith and a love affair test the beliefs of the whole household.
With a young Virginia McKenna in the cast, this is a lovely piece among old theatre programmes of the 1950s.
