Bolton Theatre Royal – The Silver Slipper – 1902

An original theatre programme for The Silver Slipper at the Theatre Royal, Bolton, dated 3 March 1902, with principal cast including John Doran and Lilian Stead.

This Edwardian musical comedy, with music by Leslie Stuart and book by Owen Hall, followed hot on the heels of their smash hit Florodora and toured widely across the provinces.

Early Edwardian touring programmes are a delightful find, and this Bolton example is a fine addition to any collection of old theatre programmes.
