1. About us

TheatreMemorabilia.co.uk is run by SWMH, a UK business selling original theatre programmes and theatre memorabilia.

Postal address: S–W–M–H, PO BOX 4-0-3-7, Chester, C-H-1 9-X-Q, UK
To get in touch, please use our contact page.

You must be 18 or over to buy from us.

2. Placing an order

When you place an order, we will email you to confirm we have received it. Your order is accepted, and a contract between us is formed, when we confirm and send your item.

Most of our items are one-offs. If an item turns out to be unavailable, or there is an obvious error in its price or description, we will let you know and give you a full refund for that item. We may also decline an order for another good reason, such as suspected fraud, and if we do we will refund you in full.

3. Prices and payment

Prices are shown in pounds sterling next to each item. Postage is added at checkout before you pay. Our prices are fixed and are not open to offers.

You can pay by PayPal (including credit and debit cards), Google Pay or Amazon Pay. We never see or store your card details. You confirm that the payment details you use are yours, or that you are authorised to use them.

4. Item descriptions and condition

We describe every item as accurately as we can, including any faults we find, and show photographs of the actual item. Many of our programmes and items are decades old, so minor signs of age such as light creases are normal unless we say otherwise. All sizes are approximate.

Our abbreviations key chart explains the condition terms and abbreviations used in our descriptions.

5. Signed items and authenticity

We do not deal in fakes. We buy signed items from trusted sources and check each one carefully. Where an item comes with provenance, we say so. Where it does not, we describe it as genuine in our professional opinion, so you can decide whether to buy on that basis. We do not issue our own certificates of authenticity, as these can be printed by anyone and prove nothing.

For your peace of mind, every signed item comes with a 60-day money-back guarantee: if you are not happy with it for any reason, tell us within 60 days of it arriving and return it to us in the same condition for a full refund of the item price.

6. Postage and delivery

We post worldwide and usually post orders out on a Saturday. Full details of our postage options and delivery times are on our Postage & Returns page.

If your parcel has not arrived within the delivery time we quote, please contact us. We will check the tracking and make a claim with Royal Mail where we can. If your parcel is lost in the post, we will send you a replacement if we have one, or give you a full refund.

7. Returns and refunds

You can return an item for a refund if you change your mind, as long as you tell us within 14 days of it arriving and it comes back in the same condition we sent it. We refund the price of the item. Return postage is paid by you, unless the item is faulty or not as described, or we made a mistake with your order. Full details are on our Postage & Returns page.

If an item is faulty or not as described, you also have rights under UK consumer law, and nothing in these terms affects them.

8. Your account

If you create an account, please give accurate details, keep your password private and let us know if you think someone else has used your account. We may suspend or close an account that is used fraudulently or in breach of these terms. You can ask us to close your account at any time.

10. Our responsibility to you

If we break these terms, we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breach, up to the amount you paid for your order. We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable, or for business losses, as we only sell to customers for their own private use.

Nothing in these terms limits our liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for your legal rights in relation to the goods we sell.

11. Privacy

Our Privacy & Cookies Policy explains how we use your personal information.

12. Changes and the law

We may update these terms from time to time. The terms that apply to your order are the ones shown here when you placed it.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. You can bring legal proceedings in the courts of England and Wales, or, if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, in the courts where you live.
